Rare Solid Pine Double Bed with Two Matching Nightstands. This exceptional piece, named Samso, is crafted in the style of Roland Wilhelmsson and stands out for its highquality workmanship and solid wood joinery. The organically curved forms and smooth transitions lend the furniture a dynamic elegance, seamlessly integrating into the overall design. Inspired by the Danish island of Samsø  located in the middle of the sea, the flowing lines evoke the image of waves or a boat resting safely in the harbor. The bed frame rests on sturdy wooden beams and is securely assembled using wooden dowels a clever and simple interlocking system. The nightstands are carved from a single piece of wood, mirroring the bed’s design language and creating a harmonious ensemble.

 

The set was produced in the 1980s by inbo Sweden. The rich color palette of the pine wood ranges from warm honey gold to silvery light brown and reddish hues shifting subtly depending on the light and creating atmospheric highlights. The interplay of material and function is particularly striking in this piece.
